0. Parts Inspection
This is the LOC/Precision Skinwalker kit as its base. Making sure all of the parts received is critical to the success of the entire build process. It is the minimal viable build for the rocket.
Body tubes and MMT tube are in good shape. They have been wiped down with a warm damp cloth to remove the glassine layer in preparation for fiberglassing.
There is a noticeable gap between the coupler and the stiffy tube for the AV bay. The stiffy tube will epoxied to the coupler. The forward bulkhead will be epoxied to the stiffy tube and coupler (the end with the nylon-inserted nuts). The switch band will be epoxied as well.
A dry fit of the MMT, Aft body tube, LOC N CRs and fins. Everything fits well together.
The fin can will be assembled outside of the aft tube and will incorporate fiberglass strips as part of the fillet between the fin and the MMT for added strength.
